Mr. Pruett oversees the business activities of Capri EGM, Capri’s joint venture specializing in net lease investments in major U.S. property markets. Mr. Pruett has over 28 years of real estate investment experience. Prior to co-founding Capri EGM, in 2014 Mr. Pruett was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Equity Global Management, LLC, a real estate investment firm based in Chicago from 2009 to 2014; Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Equity Capital Management, LLC, a real estate investment firm based in Chicago from 2000 to 2014; and Managing Principal of Gryffindor Capital Partners, a venture capital firm based in Chicago from 1999 to 2014. Previously Mr. Pruett was Chairman and Chief Executive officer of ECM Realty Trust, a real estate investment trust based in Chicago, from 2010 to 2011. Mr. Pruett was also Executive Vice President of Transwestern Commercial Services and Co-Founder of Transwestern Strategic Partners, a private equity fund investing in real estate operating and service companies, from 1997 to 1999. From 1994 to 1997 Mr. Pruett was Vice President of Ares Realty Capital Inc., responsible for mergers and acquisitions of real estate operating companies. From 1992 to 1994 Mr. Pruett was Portfolio Manager for Golub & Company responsible for structuring investment transactions. From 1991 to 1992 Mr. Pruett was Associate Ownership Representation for Equity Assets Management, Inc., responsible for investment management of the Zell/Merrill Lynch Real Estate Opportunity and other related funds. Mr. Pruett is a board member of the International Advisory Board of the Harvard Real Estate Academic Initiative and other organizations, is a member of the Pensions Real Estate Association, and is a licensed Illinois Managing Broker. Mr. Pruett received a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia.
