Gwendolyn L. Butler, President And Chief Operating Officer of Capri Capital Partners, Named To Black Enterprise Magazine’s Most Powerful Women In Business List

CHICAGO, IL – Capri Capital Partners, LLC (“Capri”) President and Chief Operating Officer Gwendolyn L. Butler has been named as one of Black Enterprise magazine’s “75 Most Powerful Women in Business”.

This list, released in Black Enterprise’s February issue, honors senior corporate executives and leading entrepreneurs. The list touts women responsible for developing product lines, positioning brands, operating core business areas and generating revenues with profit and loss oversight at the highest levels.

“I am very excited to be in the company of such successful and pioneering women,” said Butler, who is the first African-America President and COO of a commercial real estate investment management firm. “Whenever I’m honored in this way, I always think back to those who served as role models for me. At Capri Capital Partners, my goal is always to lead by example in order to nurture the next generation of female leaders.”

Ms. Butler received a Master of Business Administration degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business of Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. She has also been honored by Ebony magazine as one of its “100 of America’s Best and Brightest Black Women in Corporate America” and one of the “Remarkable Women of Color Presidents” by the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Securities Professionals.

In addition to her duties at Capri, Ms. Butler is Chair of the National Association of Securities Professionals and is President-Elect of the Board of Directors at the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago.
